Hey! I’m Drew, and I was raised in Florida with a love for the outdoors and photography. I relocated to New York in 2023 for a corporate job, but continued to make photography a major part of my life.

My love for photography began at age 12, when my parents bought me a Fujifilm XP200 underwater camera to take with me on a school field trip. Quickly, I got addicted to exploring online photography forums on the family computer after my parents went to sleep. I started to save all the money I would get from chores to buy a “real camera".” At age 13, I bought my first DSLR from a family friend, a Nikon D3100.

I rented books from the library to learn photography techniques and begged my parents to drive me to nature preserves, airports, and parks to practice my skills. I created DrewgyFilm as a second Instagram account to dump my photos, as does every teen at some point.

After getting laid off from the very corporate job that brought me to New York, I took my severance and upgraded all of my aged, dilapidated camera equipment so I could finally do something more than casual with my skills.

Now I’m here, and DrewgyFilm has evolved from a showcase of my hobby to a business at your service.
